Danuta Lipien, MSc (PT)

Danuta has been working with Drake Medox Health Solutions since 2004, providing both physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for clients following industrial, motor vehicle, sports and personal musculoskeletal injuries. Over the years Danuta has established an excellent professional relationship with her clients, WSBC (Work Safe British Columbia) case managers and with other partners. In fact, for many consecutive years, the results of Danuta's treatment approach, for the OR1 program (Occupational Rehabilitation), WSBC clients and RAW (Recovery at Work) programs, placed her at the top of most service providers for excellence of service / performance and the quarterly outcome measures. Currently, Danuta's role is that of a clinical coordinator and mentor for the other clinicians at the Surrey and Burnaby clinics.

Manikanda Prasath Thandalai Krishnamurthy, Registered Physiotherapist

In 2001 Mani received his Bachelor’s degree from Sri Ramachandra University which has affiliations with Harvard Medical School and University of South Australia. Subsequently in 2005 Mani earned his Masters in Physiotherapy at Dr. MGR Medical University. After a successful career in India, Mani moved to the Middle East for 12 years to work with the Ministry of health (Sultanate of Oman). There he gained valuable experiences working with a wide variety of conditions and patients from many diverse cultures. Mani is also multilingual and speaks English, Tamil, Hindi, Arabic, Malayalam and Punjabi. Mani’s treatments focus on a combination of hands-on manual techniques paired with rehabilitation exercise programs. Mani believes that in order to get the best possible results for his clients he must provide individualized care and cater to their specific needs. Mani also believes that by educating and empowering his patients, he helps to ensure that the results of his treatments are long lasting. Outside of work, Mani loves traveling, swimming and spending time with his family.

Vic Edangal, BScPT, MCPA

Vic Edangal is a registered physiotherapist in Canada, Philippines and Saudi Arabia. In addition to his Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy, he also possesses a postgraduate diploma in Healthcare Management from Meridian Business School in London.
Vic has extensive experience in many areas including orthopedic and sports related injuries, TMJ dysfunction, neurological conditions, pre and post- operative joint replacements, arthritis and general rehabilitation. He incorporates patient education, K-taping, manual therapy and therapeutic exercises in his treatments. He also believes that active participation in exercise programs is very important, and promotes this through the exercise recommendations and tools he provides to his clients outside of their clinical treatment.
He has additional training in Custom Orthotic Fitting under The Orthotic Group Canada, TMJ rehab, K- taping, Parkinson’s Disease Rehabilitation.
Vic is fluent in both English and Tagalog. In his spare time you will find him cycling and enjoying recreational time with his wife and young daughter.

KINESIOLOGISTS

Rob Low, BSc. Kin

Rob Low BSc.Kin has been a Kinesiologist and Disability Management Coordinator at Drake Medox Health Solutions since 2008. His clinical background includes: pre-placement functional screening, ergonomic assessment, job demands analysis, MSI prevention education, and functional capacity evaluation. On his spare time, Rob enjoys organizing and participating in sports such as ice hockey, softball, and volleyball.


Silvia Hua, MSc. Kin, BHK

Silvia is passionate about human anatomy and physiology and using exercise and ergonomics to optimize function, prevent injuries, and rehabilitate. With a Master of Science, she is also an experienced researcher in kinesiology with specialization in human motor control. Additionally, she loves contributing to social causes and has been highly involved with Engineers Without Borders Canada.


Nico Calara, BKin

Nico graduated with a bachelor’s of Kinesiology degree in 2016. As a human movement specialist, Nico’s role is to prescribe individually tailored active rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise programs to clients and patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries, motor vehicle accident-related injuries, workplace injuries, athletic injuries, and chronic health conditions. Aside from active rehabilitation, Nico’s other interests include functional training, strength and conditioning, and human nutrition. On his downtime, Nico enjoys playing basketball and watching sports.
